Home Sweet Birdhouse

On Wednesday, the Bear den and the Webelos had some fun building birdhouses. The kits were graciously donated by the Winter Park Home Depot. They were left over from one of their Kids Workshops, and now Pack 249 has about 20 kits for future requirements. I have to add that while these kits are for children - Adult supervision was more than needed - ask your son. They were so hard to put together. Everybody worked really hard and some were completed, and some weren't, but that is OK - because I couldn't finish mine either. I also want to thank Michael King. Michael didn't finish his birdhouse because he helped out everyone with theirs.

I am really proud by the hard work that everyone put into this project. There are going to be some local birds with some pretty nice digs.

Blue & Gold Banquet

The theme for our Blue & Gold Banquet this year was Chinese New Year. We owe a special thanks to Panda Express for donating the food for our banquet. And an extra special thanks to Ramee Kirkland for all the hard work that went into this. Everyone looked like they had a great time.

2008 Pinewood Derby

Cub Scout Pack 249 had it's annual Pinewood Derby on Saturday. The big winner was Hunter, getting first place overall. Everyone did a great job on their cars and from what I hear, plans have already begun for next year.
